J' adore Paris

The last of the cutest striped dresses! The designer stopped cutting this dress, not sure why it was oh so Parisian and sweet! I am going to the Fame show on Monday to search for more US made dresses. Will be strange to be thinking of fall and winter clothing when it is so hot out.

Jersey Shore

OK, I know this is a blog about Dusty Buttons but I had to share a little more! We went to the Jersey Shore and the fashion was like nothing I had ever seen before! Girls in heels at the beach, men with giant shaved chests. I had to snap a few photos. It makes me want to see the show Jersey Shore! Men, keep your chest hair it seems creepy when you shave it. The first photo is my honey and I laughing, now that is a sexy hairy chest! Hee hee...

Both dresses are made in USA, the sweet blue one has great pockets, the cute black one has safety pins printed all over it. I am really having fun hunting down US made dresses, well I am a treasure hunter at heart!!

This dress the one in the middle of the window, makes me want to become a designer! I wept a little when I sold it. The gal who bought it was made for it though, just beautiful. The attached scarf so feminine.......Every woman should have a dress this lovely. I did take a polaroid of her in it, and she has promised to send me a photo as well. Till then.....

Could she be any sweeter in the 1950's dress? They don't make them like this anymore. This lovely gal will have many a fun summer in this dress!

The Coolest Playboy Bunny Ever!!

These are some fun photos of my neighbor, she owns a cute store across from me called Miss Elle's Belles. These photos were taken when she was the bunny mother at the Playboy Club here in NYC in the 60's and 70's. She is so beautiful, talented, and filled with great stories! Stop by her store for lovely handmade finds!

My 4x8 piece of heaven in NYC! Wish my Mom could visit the garden she would adore it. I think of her everyday I am in the garden.

Here is one of our new dresses from a fair trade company. This dress I can't seem to keep enough in stock of, it is such a perfect cotton summer dress. She is so lovely in this dress, sure to become one of her summer favorites.

1950's Bowling Shirt

Here is my friend Laura in her new 1950's bowling shirt I gave her. The buttons are little bowling pins! And it even has her name on it in the cutest glitter felt. These gals must have had a fun bowling team, would have loved to have know them!

Beautiful one of a kind 50's dress

I wish I had taken more photos of this dress. The bust has rhinestones and pearls scattered about. And the print is roses with a 1950's funky pattern. She was made for this dress. The belt makes the look more modern, with out the crinoline the dress is a perfect day dress, but with the crinoline wow!
She is stunning in this one of a kind 1950's beauty!

the best 80's dress ever!

Here is beautiful tall blond in her new dress. A 1980's sexy flame print, just the right amount of shoulder pads, with a 1940's style back. I have always adored this dress, truly a one of a kind piece!
She will turn heads for sure.
