What year do think this is on East 9th?

Our street turned back time, for a Coen brothers movie. They quickly built faux store fronts for their film and filled the street with lovely old cars! Oh if it only looked this way all the time, how I would have loved to have seen the east village in the early 1960s! We saw many a bouffant hair do on the ladies, and the boys looking oh so tough. Loved it! Normally it is quite annoying when a film is shot on our street, but this one was fun! I will post a second post with just the cars next time!

Bowie's Gal

Here is a fun gal in her new 1970's metallic pink dress. This dress was from an auction of quite the socialite, her collection was so vast and fun. There was some damage to the sleeves so I had them removed, I think the dress is much sexier without them! And in her hand is the giant matching belt!

Spring in January?

Spring is in the air! Maybe not, but it sure feels that way! Here is a lovely gal in her new 1950's cotton dress. I am so in love with yellow lately, well always really, it forever reminds me of my beautiful grandmother.
This photo was from October, I had misplaced it, but found it fitting for now.
And my how my grandmother would have adored this dress!
