George the famous dog
This is the famous George of 9th street. He is not new to blogs, as he has many admirers around the globe. My husband thinks I am stalking George. Walking past the dog park I can tell it is him by his fabulous gate, and my how he stands out in a crowd of dogs. Out of the corner of my eye I can always spot him, and can't help but yell out his name when I do! I heart George!!

Pollock's Girl
I just adore this gal, what a hoot she was! Her family was the bee's knees as well!
This dress I named "Pollock's girl", as I could see Lee Krasner in this fab 1970's dress. It is strange that there are not many books about Lee, maybe I could help write one. She is still my favorite artist by far. And this lovely gal who bought the dress is a painter as well. It is customers like this that make me love NYC!!!

Our favorite Dutch gals!
Here are two lovely gals from Holland that I adored! They were so much fun. The one on the right bought the lovely green lace dress and the other bought a sexy gray 1980's leather skirt a few days before. We saw them out on the town on their last night in NYC looking fab in their new duds. Maybe we will see you girls in Holland one day!

Small and large, we need a medium gal!!
Here is a photo of my friend Eli and I in a new dress line I just got in. Eli is so sweet and petite in this photo and I a giant! This photo makes me laugh, I think we should go out one night like this! She is wearing the small, I the large, we just need a medium girl and the crew will be ready!!
The dress is to die for cute.
A pretty girl not looking "Lost" in her new dress
I woke up this morning made coffee, and sat for the last hour of Lost on online. Last night I caught up on the 2nd to last episode and half of the finale, shut it off to wait and savor for the morning. So here I sit, sad it is over, disappointed by the end, happy everyone found each other, and a still a bit lost! But what else could they have done with the ending, they had taken us in so many different directions, I guess they had to be dead. Six years and many fingernails chewed off and lost!!
Here is a pretty girl not looking Lost, in her new US made dress and her new vintage purse. The rope belt and rainbow top actually slightly remind me of something one of the gals may have worn on the island!! OK sorry, enough with the Lost woes!!

Pretty Boston Birthday Girl In Her Party Dress
Now this is a birthday girl! This lovely gal needed a 1950's dress for her party and what a beauty she found. As soon as she put it on I knew it was made for her. The colors are amazing in this dress, the crinoline and the wind make it!
What a fun looking roof top party!
Thank you Susie for sending your photos!!

Some photos for my gal
Here are a few photos of the store, my lovely girlfriend from back home Nicole asked for them. I miss you pretty girl, please send me photos of you and your belly! She is having a baby girl!
The polaroid cameras in the photo all work perfect and I sell the film as well. On the 1960's purse is a lovely hair piece made by a company in Canada. I have many different ones, and however you wear them you are instantly feminine!!

"Who can it be now"
This adorable gal bought a beautiful 1980's Polaroid sx-70, loaded with fade to black film. She is taking home to Australia! Remember, Impossibleproject.com for Fade To Black techniques and lots of other great information.
Thinking on Australia makes me miss Michael Hutchence as well, he was such a beauty.
-Yes, Mr. Vegemite I know Michael Hutchence was from INXS, I spent my youth adoring him. And I just thought it would be fun to name the post after a Men at Work song. Was just having fun with all things Australian......

Heart covered rats taking over NYC
Sorry I have not been blogging lately it was my birthday week so I have been busy celebrating! Also I left my camera again at home over the weekend. But a few ladies have promised to send photos! And a fab man who bought a dress for a drag prom, can't wait for those photos he looked lovely in his new 1950's black gown, crinoline, heels, and the earrings I had to give him as a gift just because he was so much fun!
This photo is of a toy rat, he was a pal of a sweet older artist, some friends and I met on the way home one night. As we were walking home there sat a man with all sorts of little toy animals scattered around him, how could we not stop to chat with him!! This little heart covered rat was my favorite.

I took a close up photo of this print that I hope to use for the background of my blog, because I can't let go of the loveliness of this dress~~~
And yes she is wearing her wellies in one of the photos, she truly is the bee's knees!!

Fade to black
This was taken with a sx-70 polaroid that is loaded with film and for sale at the shop. This is a sx-70 type of film called fade to black. You have 24 hours to stop it at the color you desire before it fades to black. There are many ways to manipulate it. I tried the dry technique and the wet. I have had so much fun playing with this camera and this film. I have many more vintage polaroids I am testing that will be for sale soon. And if you have not heard of the impossibleproject.com check them out. Very cool guys making the sx-70 and the 600 film again. I hope to carry some of their film soon!!

My girls and I at the Moda show
My girlfriends came from home to visit and go to the Fame/Moda show. Beth has a lovely shop called Le Club Boutique in Portsmouth NH. We found all sorts of lovely things. I was on the hunt for dresses not made in China. I did find a few beauties! Eli the cute one in white on the end works across the street from me at the sweetest store called Pink Olive; she came to help me and be my model. She is the perfect sample size! We found the most lovely little vintage looking veils from Canada, should be in the shop soon! We also found some beautiful boots from Eli's homeland Spain. Can't wait for those as well!!

Two cool dudes in their new shoes!
Here are two fun guys who left with two of the coolest pairs of vintage shoes. The brown ones were highly coveted by many men, but this lucky man fit into them perfectly. And the faceless man in the black and white pair, he was so high profile he did not want his face in the photo. Look for the shoes out in the NYC streets and you may find the faceless man!
I feel as though I should start a section for the boys again, they seem to be shopping more.
