I was helping this lovely gal with a pair of boots when I looked out the window and saw this silly puppy with my pumpkin!
I had to take some photos, finally we got him away from the pumpkin with a dog bone! The pumpkin was not looking so hot after the brawl, so I tried get the dog's mom to take the pumpkin home and make a pie with it!
The sweet gal with the boots had a laugh as well and went home with some cute short Justin boots and a funny story!

I have been trying to write something for this blog post for days, but it is so hard to find the words...
Words to describe such an amazing woman and friend. My Elle. She loved and inspired everyone who knew her. Her sense of style was all her own, she made the most creative clothing and lovely jewelry. Her stories about her life I would listen to for hours, she was the bunny mother of the NYC Playboy club!
Lately I keep going to an outdoor cafe we would go to, with her best friend Sheryl (a fellow bunny). I keep seeing her kissing us good bye and kicking her beautiful legs up and into the cab as she did.... I miss you and love you so much Elle.

Oh how I have fallen in love with Iceland! I had been to the airport for layovers over the years but never got to spend any time. Crazy fun artistic musical people, who believe in faeries and elves! And their fashion, wow!
The first photo is of us at 2 AM! The sun never sets in the summer, it has been very hard to sleep, keep feeling like I am missing something! Friday night we stayed out till 5 AM and they were still partying! The next photo is an amazing shoe company Designed in Iceland and made in Spain, their shoes made me weep. I left without a pair due to them not having my size, almost bought them in black but they were not as fun. (My honey was happy due to their price tag!)Next photo is me smiling, telling my husband about the shoe company and that he can buy me a pair for a gift, because they sell on line! You can imagine how happy he was, ha, ha! Then there is the flag made from flowers and a drunk guy sleeping soundly! And the last photo is a view from the apartment we rented at 12:30 at night, after our 3 hour nap on our way out!
Found an Icelandic flea market, bought some old books but no vintage. Mostly 80's vintage here in the cute vintage shops, and such sweet gals selling it!
The people here are so so beautiful, if you are single get on a plane and come to Iceland!!!
I don't want to leave tomorrow, sad I did not get the chance to ride Icelandic ponies over lava fields!! Next time.......Time to nap with my love, before our farewell late night cocktail hour in the daylight!! See you soon.

The sculpture on the water is made by a friend of mine, Jonathan Borofsky. It was so cool to see it in person. He has large sculptures all over the world, many in Germany, the Germans adore him.
The next photo is part of the Berlin wall.
The 2 after are us on a city boat tour. And the last is my honey playing guitar with some guys at a flea market. Their flea markets are so cool, live music, beer, wine, food, and fun! On our way to Hamberg, and then the sea, to visit friends and hunt for more vintage treasures, found some beautiful dresses in Berlin for the shop!

This place on the river is having a bash for the bread and butter fashion week on Saturday night. We met some cool people making cardboard robots for the party, a DJ outside and in a little old warehouse with vintage TV's and robots, how can we not go?? My Foxy Valentine

My handsome husband took me and our boy Mr. Buttons to Island Beach State Park
for a Valentine's day picnic. It was a beautiful warm day for February, a bit windy so we ate our lunch in the car! We all got some sand in our eyes, the ocean was wild, and the teenage surfer in me wanted to paddle out and see if she could still get up! The best part of the trip was the beautiful fox we saw! The close up photo of him was his calm stern look he was giving Mr. Buttons for barking out the car window at him! Mr. Buttons barked and cried for him 20 minutes after we left the park, he really wanted to chase that sweet little fox, bad Buttons!!

1950's amazing James Galanos dress!
Come visit her, she is quite the beauty. Took her out of the window today for fear of sun damage. The buttons down the front, built in silk slip, and layers of chiffon are to the sight and touch just too beautiful. This is a lovely example of one his pleated handmade dresses, it took him two weeks to make such a piece. That is when fashion was art my friends.

The teal floral dress has a lovely built in scarf, making it one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen. The yellow and green floral dress has a full flirty skirt, and print on the first dress makes me want to weep it so cool!! Her sister and her always have fun when they come in, trying everything on, and with vintage that is how one has to do it. Because you never know till you try it on just how amazing you may look!

Now this is a beautiful 1950's dress! And what a sweet gal she is as well. This dress is a brownish purple with tiny buttons at the collar, a lovely piece of history. She looks so beautiful, and the little blue vintage flower pin she bought to wear with the dress, perfect!

Oh how I loved this dress, I miss it sparkling in my window! This sweet gal looked so beautiful in it, I was happy it went to such a good home. I only wish I had my camera that day, this photo was taken with a phone, and you can't see the details of the dress. Details like silver thread sewn among the nude color lace, the chocolate brown velvet collar that meets at the back and hangs down so elegantly. I hope she sends me a better photo of this dress, just lovely.

I have a friend who was a Bunny at the NYC Playboy club in the 1960's and I've posted photos of her in bunny attire earlier on the blog. She has started to design clothing, and here is one of her dresses, a velvet, paisley, sparkly number! This sexy gal in the photo is wearing it; she fell in love with it immediately and had to have it! We also have some fun skirts designed by our beautiful bunny mother and they're all made here in NYC!

We have a new employee at Dusty Buttons! His name is Mr. Buttons. We adopted him a month ago and have been busy loving him and trying to have him not bark at other dogs! My husband and I seem to only talk about Mr. Buttons, our friends are a little bored with our conversations! His days at the shop are Tues-Thurs, if you would like to meet Mr. Buttons!
